yea my vapor III's looked the same way after i used them. it doesn't matter though. they're still amazing

Yeah mine are a little like that too, and I take really good care of them, they are in immaculate condition based on how much I use them and what surfaces I play on. They look better on your feet then they do on display.

today i just saw a pair of vapor IVs for 140$ in a nike store,,can anyone explain why it is soo cheap this early?

The were probably defective, didn't have a box or something like that wrong with them. Or maybe they've been tried on in the store so much that the studs have already been worn down some and the bott is already partially broken in.

The reason I ask is because I am lookin at a pair of Vapor I's, but I have no clue how wide they are in comparison to the III's (even thought they are the same size, 8.5), could you give me advice here?

from everything i've read, the I's were the narrowest and the III's were the widest because Nike wanted to make more money. before, during the time of the I's and II's, only a select amount of people could buy them because of their feet.
