Re: Premier League 2012-2013 Discussion

My thoughts include: - WTF @ Chelsea and their utter lack of managerial stability. I'm up for giving Rafa the half season as much as anybody, and I surely have more patience than most. I like his idea to move Luiz to the midfield because honestly that's probably where he belongs. But there was nothi...

Re: Languages?

Very interesting, expert! It's not the same deal, I know, but I had a friend born in the Czech Republic who also lived in Singapore and Texas before he came to Canada. His English is perfect, since he was about 7 when he ended up here, but he said he'd wake up thinking in Czech sometimes, and that b...

It would be nice! For the record, I like the new streamlined look a lot, though!

Welcome back btw, p793, my man!

Re: Meanwhile, Outside Rome's House...

We've had a great winter! Feels like this is all the snow we didn't get at once. :p Yeah, had yesterday off as well. City basically closed up. Of all the days for my snowblower pull-cord to break...

That's 100 cm of snow, there, and it all fell in one night. It also looked a lot worse before I shoveled it for like an hour.

Re: Kevin Prince Boateng

panchester's sentiment is ultimately correct. This particular brand of scumbag thrives on the anonymity of the crowd, and they would never dare put a face to their comments and own what they say. Disgraceful.

Re: Kevin Prince Boateng

I think they've every right to do this, and it being a friendly probably had something to do with it. However, imagine the waves if this was a Serie A game. Players sadly have to start taking matters into their own hands when associations aren't doing enough to combat racism.

Re: White Angels

Have not, but on your advice, I'll probably pick it up! Love having a good footy read. ;)

I'll always number The Damned United among my favorite football books though, so excellent.

I thought of this, and it's true. They would surely be credited, but obviously consent might still be required. If it matters, you have my consent to use mine. :p

Loving the renovations so far, can't wait to see what else you've got in store!

Improving the Main Site

Few quick points that might be worth consideration: - To supplement the great knowledge on the site without expert having to do much more work, we could throw up some of the Featured Articles under their respective categories of fitness, skills, etc. - The dream teams/history sections are marvelous,...

Re: Advertisement for the site

Sounds pretty cool! I know the Facebook page contributed a lot to returning members, but I think a well maintained general football Twitter that occasionally plugs the forums would do a lot. CFF had one going a while back, but he slipped off into the ether... :p I'm also willing to donate to the sit...

Re: Let's Talk Messi.

Good points klc, especially the first. I don't think many, if any, would argue that RM/Barca would virtually trivialize any league. As many have shown so far this year, there isn't a lot of sullen fear about the rest of the teams in La Liga, though. They can, and sometimes do, take all three points ...

Re: Chelsea's Run of Form

Certainly. Chelsea fans seem to forget that he has CL Champion on his CV as well, same as Di Matteo. Much too soon to judge his form as Chelsea manager yet, and if he can yet inspire Torres, he might negotiate himself an extension.
