By definition of the law and all that it's right but it's not the same as "if a keeper blocks the shot and it hits a post and goes in" since IMO that isn't a "blocked" shot. If it'd hit the keeper then gone straight in I'd say its a goal but it bounced away. There isn't really a ...

I'm fairly certain that would be considered a goal but it isn't really clear by the rules. If that happens during a regular PK it'd be a goal, but since it's a PK shoot-out I think it's really up to the ref to decided. IMO the ref made the wrong call since the keeper blocked the initial shot and I d...

They're making a movie about Aron Ralston but after doing some research on his accident it seems like he was far more dumbass than badass, though somewhat badass.

I've forgotten just how badass this guy is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoXG1HPs ... re=related

I gotta be honest, I really think boot making has gone way down in the past few years. I could care less if a boot weighs 4 oz and makes the ball turn into candy canes. Things like weight and shape do effect performance but not to the extent these companies are trying to make it seem, which seems to...

Brown, im pretty sure the best coaches in the world, like Lowe, Van Marwick and co, aren't stupid enough to overrate a rival..No offense.. If you watched their teams play against every other team then compare it to how they played Spain (not the scores or how well Spain did, how their teams approac...

I assumed you'd figure it out panchester but I'll clarify what I meant I guess. By over-rated I wasn't saying they don't deserve what they've accomplished in recent years, what I meant was that other teams look at them as unbeatable and instead of playing them outright they try to defend. On the rar...

I think it says more about Spain being a little over-rated than Argentina not being good. Everyone knew that Zanetti and Cambiasso being gone really hurt the team in the WC, but IMO what it really shows is that if a good team just comes out and plays with Spain than Spain is very beatable. If Argent...

Chelsea 09/10, I mean 106 goals scored with only 32 goals against. Man U might have kept up with them fairly well in points last season but without a doubt Chelsea was more dominate. The 07/08 Manchester team was good but their results against Chelsea even that year were 1-2-1, and without a doubt t...

I wouldn't say over-rated, I think the general view on him is correct. He's a good forward, not great. He played well for Udinese and Stade Rennes based on the numbers, but just well. Who knows though I'd say a lot of African players are kind of late bloomers and he might become the next big thing. ...

I'd hope that with him as a starting mid-fielder for the Netherlands they'd move from their crash and attack style back to total football.

I didn't know that Spurs also bought some Brazilian named Sandro who admittedly I don't know anything about.

25-man squads announced

all quoted from ESPN The rules: Each club's 25-man squad should have eight home-grown players who - regardless of age or nationality - spent three years (or a total of 36 months) in the youth system of a club in England or Wales before they reached the age of 21. Contrary to reports elsewhere, playe...

I have to say I'm really happy about VDV going to Spurs. I think he'll be the boost the Spurs need to break the top 4 this year and he'll also see the time he needs to become a frequent starter for Netherlands.
