PHYU, did you increase the duration/reps of the strengthening exercises each time? And did you do them daily or every other day? I've done them the past two days and my back feels a bit more stiff, maybe sore even. Obviously the same pain is there. It's not evident until I start doing something that...

Thanks for the replies. I browsed through the thread you posted and it seemed very helpful. The pain has subsided a bit (it's night time now), it should be nearly gone by tomorrow morning, the problem is I have team training for the next two days and then I will be off for 5 days before I have a gam...

Lower Back Pain (especially when shooting or bending forward

Alright guys, read through another thread posted by another member but he/she seemed to have the exact opposite problem. About a week ago, I was taking powerful long shots in training and I seemed to over-stretch or 'pull' my lower back. It didn't hurt too bad so I kept training. The next day, durin...

Todays game showed why Arsenal aren't serious title contenders. As much faith as I have in them, I expected them to make a statement today. Unlucky to concede the free kick that led to the penalty, but other than that, almost a total collapse in the second half. 3 Losses at home already this season....

Blame the players. Not the manager. Seriously, Rafa will eventually drive this team into the ground.

Hmm, well many years after my first post, I've been driving a Black BMW 3-series, 325ci to be exact. Nice car, but it needs a lot of maintenance to keep it running properly. Hopefully I'll be driving an M3 in a few years

On his day, Nani is one of the top 5 wingers in the world. The problem with him ever since he joined United has been consistency. He has been very positive this season, and if he can continue to mature, he will become one of United's most valued players. At least Nani decided to drop the matching bo...

Actually, Ronaldinho and Zlatan have some of the sickest "in-air" ball skills of all pro players. Just because dinho cant dribble, doesn't mean he cant use his amazing flicks and juggles. Zlatan has one of the nastiest volleys around, maybe Wayne would have something to say about that though. I see ...

Ah yes, I've seen the commercial for those. A bit too much though, and it won't simulate the way a ball is crossed, as you said. It seems like a good idea for younger players though. I wish I could find a place with perpendicular walls :?

Practicing on-Goal Heading on your own?

I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on practice heading on goal (like simulating a header from a corner or driven ball by yourself. I do get a few reps in at practice but I want something I can really work on. My heading is the weakest part of my attacking game, especially finishing headers...

Pinching pain in the Knee

I've had this happen on two separate days now. I wonder if any of ya'll have had this happen to you. I was taking pretty hard shots when suddenly it felt like I pinched my knee on certain shot. After that, flexing my knee under my body and swinging it caused the same sensation. My knee doesn't give ...

Alright thanks for the info KLC. I've got a small place nearby where I do a lot of my workouts. Although strangely, they only have two barbell's set up, one for bench and one for squat. Both of them usually have a long cue in line to be used. I have a basic exercise bench and squad set at my house I...
