In season workout plan rough draft

I'm trying to adapt my workouts to playing once a week and still make gains. This is what I've been doing for the last few weeks. Day 1: Weightlifting - chest, lats, delts, abs. Long slow run. Day 2: Some running and skills with kids, but nothing strenuous Day 3: Weightlifting - Heavy squats, heavy ...

Most seem to take off the day after a game and to go easy the day before a game with just some skill and team play work. Some do a slow recovery run on the day after a game, but nothing strenuous. That leaves 4 days to do some physical training, as well as skills and team play drills.

I dont think i can turn over. In case i couldnt control and drop the leg, and there'll be direct impact between my knee and the ground XD. So what about the ''clenching'' of my thigh ? What is it for ? "clenching your thigh" is a milder form of lifting your leg up a few inches by using the quadrice...

Basically, i can't see whether the swelling has gone down as theres a somewhat cast-bandage on my leg. I was told to tighten my thighs now and then. Like a few reps to make it stronger ? And i am quite new involving in the soccer scene. So its quite a disapointment . Just days after both of my knee...

Frizzyan, if you have a detached retina, it is very important that you get this treated. It can become even more detached if you don't.

Patience, until the swelling goes down there is not a lot you can do. Downtime is a great time to start educating yourself about this type of injury, possible complications, rehabilitation strategies, etc. The more you know, the better you and your doctor can discuss your rehab. Take charge of this ...

Thanks. If you work up from low intensity to high intensity over time, is the strength base unneccesery? B Heck, I assume you've done plyometrics, I'm just wondering how effective they are in developing power? Plyos don't build strength as much as they improve your ability to use what you have. Thi...

Thanks
For high intensity plyos, Yes. Lower intensity, maybe not. Depends on age, body size, and fitness level. More here: http://gladstone.uoregon.edu/~j15/prep/prep_index.htm

It takes a combination of very low body fat and good genetics. The tendinous inscriptions, the dents between each bulge of the rectus abdominals, may be shallower and harder to see at the top and bottom. On most people with very low bodyfat, they are so shallow that you only see 3 pairs of bulges. T...

My god, did that first guy lift 585 pounds 22 times? That's insane! That was Tom Platz with 495, I think, I see 5 plates. The guy in the black tank top who helps Tom back to the rack is Bill Kazmaier , the strongman legend. The old guy who shows up near the end to Tom's left from behind the curtain...

Those are very good numbers. You can plug them into this calculator to estimate your 1 rep max and training poundages.

Just so you keep striving for more....I squat 400 for 5 reps, below parallel, no belt, no knee wraps, weighing 190.

I dont want to be wasting my time with it if it is working in a negative way. Whats you're opinon on it? Ex...
