Great Players that you Wouldn't Have Expected to be Good

You know what I'm talking about, the great players that play for a non-top-notch team, so it's always surprising when people find out how good they are. Diego Milito before moving to Inter, for example. Everyone knew he could score goals, no one could have guessed he was that good. Ozil, same deal, ...

Messi is designed to assist a main striker. He dribbles, cuts inside, then sends one through for another player to score. Of course, he himself scores a sh*t load too, but he is better at making chances for his teammates. Aguero is a completely different type of player. First of all, he doesn't like...

What, people are scared of comparing goalies?
More strikers then? Okay,
Batistuta vs. Vieri

Ps. a double post seemed necessary, I usually edit though.

BTW the best right-back in the world is Maicon. Who is this Ramos child you speak of? Shortlist of players: -Maicon -Javier Zanetti -Phillip Lahm -Ashley Cole -Aly Sissokho -Taye Taiwo -Fabio Coentrao The last 4 are left backs, but it's all the same. I suggest you focus on Coentrao since he's also a...

I'd like a better defender than me to answer this, I'll give it a try anyway. Ibra will win every arial challenge against me, he will outmuscle me, and even if I can contain him in a 1v1 he has a playmaker's vision and will play a perfect through ball to another striker. His team will undoubtedly pl...

I don't watch nearly enough Chelsea games to know everything about Lampard's playing style, but here's my best guess. Lampard is classified as a centre-midfielder, which is correct, but he's a little different. When Chelsea are in possession, but the ball isn't in dangerous positions, I rarely see L...

It's hard to compare them. Exactly what other people have said, Ronaldinho was a magician, Ronaldo was just incredible. Ronaldo had (an still has) lethal finishing, he was obnoxiously fast, and he effortlessly dribbled past the defence. Ronaldinho was a dancer with ball control. They're both incredi...

higuan, he is better at finishing and hes taller. but militoe sure does a good job I know this is all opinions, but the way I see it the only advantages Higuain has is speed by a bit, and his arial ability. Milito combines finesse with ruthlessness when he has the ball, and he's brilliant at assist...

To answer klc, I'd say Pedro for the simple fact that he gets more playing time. Drogba/Torres, based on current form, Drogba. Both at their peak, Torres just edges it in my opinion. Better rounded forward. Mascherano/Alonso, two totally different players, but in general a team would need Mascherano...

Help With a Signature

If some generous soul would be willing to create a GIF of Bergkamp's famous goal vs. Newcastle for me to use in my signature, I'd be grateful.

Messi and Kaka

Does anyone else think they had sublime tournaments? I disagree with people who say that they underperformed, they made their respective teams tick. Every good move Argentina had was made by Messi. He'd pick up the ball, dribble with it, and shoot or pass it off. It was a combination of fantastic go...

One thing I really noticed about Argentina is that they had the attacking players in and around Nigeria's box, then a gap a third of the field in length, then Macherano and the defence. The gap was occasionally "filled" by Veron and Gutierrez. It was a good game played by almost all the Argentina pl...

Okay, not the free flowing barrage of posts I was hoping for. I'll start then:
I'd play a deep defensive line so he can't get through balls, which shuts down his game.
No idea how I'd stop him in a 1v1 really.

He's only getting a 3-year contract, he was great for Liverpool in their first 3 years. Moratti also has a history of firing coaches, though he has calmed down, if Benitez doesn't deliver then I'm sure he'll be fired.
