The trick to being composed on the ball is knowing that you have a second or two before you're going to be pressured. Always be aware of your surroundings and make sure to find space. Thats the only way to give yourself more time when you receive the ball. When you do that, you'll have 1 or 2 second...

i wouldn't do shooting 5 days a week. it'd be hard on your groin and your hamstrings.

my ankle injury

last friday i hurt my ankle in a game. it was a typical inverted roll, but i didn't have my whole foot on the ground when it happened. instead, i was on just the balls of my right foot when a slight push from behind caused all my weight to collapse onto my ankle, making it roll. tbh, it wasn't even ...

CHampionship players earn £195,000 a year? That's just as crazy as saying they earn that much p/w. So scott, championship players earn £4000 per week!? Surely something wrong there. Also most BSN teams are full time with 2-3 being part time I think So they need to earn enough to live. I think yearl...

this thread has the most misunderstandings ever. the ones brown and i posted were for annual salaries. i posted in pounds, brown posted in american dollars. the average for mls may be $150,000 per year, but many players, (especially rookies) make far less. i've read around and bss + bsn probably mak...

Championship players earn an average salary of £195,750, League One players £67,850 and League Two £49,600
This is from the old salaries thread from 2009. I'd guess that the average would be higher now.

I like that routine that desire posted, but I'm still going to do static stretching before playing, even if I just hold them for 5 seconds each. Without them, I always feel more vulnerable to muscle pulls. Is it possible to plateau with a warm up? my team does the exact same thing for every practice...

awesome man, do you need a work permit to trial for clubs? I think i really like the idea of trialing to clubs in poland, firstly because its my homeland, and secondly i know the polish league isn't very strong, and its probably not even top 15 im sure in europe. So i think it would be good to star...

I once had a really good friend who has ADHD, its actually quite sad to. He had a bad case of it, he had trouble studying in class, he failed alot of classes because he couldn't concentrate. He also would get very mad sometimes, so mad that everyone would fear him, because he would tense up so much...

Some feedback on the "collin dril": I think you need to work on your control big time mate.. Your an old dog in this forum and you've read many guides by jdefoe, soccer4lfie, iwannagopro, NBP, etc. They explain very well the concepts of dribbling, touch and control and you have no excuse not to hav...

Its "club soccer" which means you register with a soccer club, try out, and they put you on a team that matches your ability. I'm on the top team for the 1994 age group at my club and we compete in "tier 1" against the other top teams in my city. It isn't representative but there are some very good ...
