yeah something really funny happend i was practicing shooting volleying etc against a mattress and my washroom was near the matress and the door was open and once i kicked it it landed right in the toilet lol
personally for me its helped with endurance a bit but skipping does not totally help on one aspect on fitness to me it helps calf muscles ( kinda strength) and

well in my opinion it would depend on the intensity after reading on your page it seems that you have high intensity workouts i think you should probally have 1-2 rest days a week
