Your better off doing dumbbells over time it could easily cause back injury if you have the dumbbells to do it i would highly recommended not doing it with a backpack. Hmm yeh, better to be safe than sorry I guess. Thanks nick. If the weight isn't evenly distributed in the backpack it could cause p...

You don't need to take it that far with a back pack. Just hold the dumbbells in your hand, at your side, while you do calf raises. You should be able to do two legged raises fine.

I'm watching Roots right now. In one of my college classes (it wasn't a huge class) we had a speaker come in and talk about slavery, the slave trade. We all layed down on the floor side by side and had to pretend to be in the boat. The speaker was telling us about the conditions in the boat. Slaves ...

can't even be silent for 60 seconds, can't shut your pie hole for 1 minute, for a nation thats lost it all, basicaly celebrating their death and their suffering  where the hell is the moral people?.... they wake up on a norma day, and an 8.9 earthquake shakes their lives, damaging many buildi...

I disagree about people being quiet. I was watching the game live and heard the murmur of the crowd from the first second of the "silence". Its easy to tell the difference after watching pin drop silence during moments of silence in almost every game in La Liga. Its not like everyone was quiet and ...

I watched the game and was very angry about the chanting during the moment of silence but it is very unfair to generalize every single American because of it. I'm sure there were vuvuzelas playing during national anthems at the World Cup. Those fans couldn't keep quiet for 2-3 minutes max? That wasn...

Protein shakes aren't bad for anyone unless you have a kidney disease which in that case eating too much protein is dangerous. A serving of protein powder has anywhere from probably 20-30g of protein. That is similar to eating a piece of chicken, a glass of milk, and a yogurt. Protein powder can be ...

Of course there is still time! 16 is no where near old. Now if you were 30 then that would be a different story. I do not agree that the only kids that make it have academy experience. Not true at all. It may give them a better chance but it doesn't guarantee anything. Juan Agudelo is an 18 year old...

Even though you didn't make it it sounds like you learned a lot about yourself (playing wise) and it was an overall a good learning experience. Work on your weaknesses that you've identified and I'm sure you'll be fine. Even though you didn't make it having a month long tryout/training session will ...

Now that I think about it I think at maximum a 10 minute film is best. Try to get a lot of games taped if possible so you have a variety to things to choose from to put in your film. If you want to put drills in do it at the end or the beginning don't interrupt the game footage with footage of skill...

Lots of game tape! Shooting, drills, and juggling aren't really needed they'll want to see game tape, game situations most of all. Get as much footage as you can. Full game tape is best, don't edit it too much, coaches want to see your mistakes. Highlight tapes make everyone seem perfect which we kn...

Think everything through, really plan it out before you make the move. It is a very very big decision and not something you can just do out of the blue. Make a list of the teams you are interested in and contact them now. Let them know you plan on moving and find out what you have to do to tryout/ge...

I'll chime in a bit(might sound like an echo of previous posts as well) just because I can relate from my situation a while back. I broke both my legs + right arm in a car wreck during my senior year of high school, practically ruining a full scholarship to play soccer for 2 different schools. I wa...

I must have read it wrong before I thought they wanted to send a scout to watch you play. I don't see the point in emailing the U21 coach and asking for a scout to come see you in a few years. He's not going to remember the email in a few years or even a few months. There is nothing wrong with email...
