Ive got another question. Would I be right in saying that while first-touching u retract the part of the body that is making contact with the ball, whilst when juggling u do not?

i notice that a lot of professionals stretch out their opposite hand (left if you shoot rite footed and vice versa). Is this important at all?

I beg to differ with being in the defensive end when the ball is there as a winger. The ball shouldnt determine where u'll be but instead its their left winger if ure right and vice versa. Usually he should be in your defensive end when they're attacking but not as far in as a striker making u run l...

What should a striker do when midfielder has the ball?

I know If I go thru all 4 pages of forums I will find some answers but I want answers to this specific question.
When the midfield has the ball what do u do as a striker especially as the center striker in a 3 attack system?

quick question. Why does juggling help your ball control? Their intentions are totally different? When juggling you're trying to keep the ball up and when you want to control say a high pass, youre trying to bring it down (settle it)

Crossing

My crossing has taken a dive. When I'm crossing from the right, especially at HIGH SPEED, it turns into a semi shot that barely troubles the keeper and goes over the cross bar.
1) what am I doin wrong?
2)how important is the placement of ure supporting foot on a cross?

soccerfan22's right. Try to scrimage as much as possible in the same scenario as possible i.e same number of players, pitch size...and try every possible move you would want to do in an actual game. try and carry over that same type of mentality to a real game, relax and accept the possibility that ...

for direction, dont 4get the placement of ure supporting foot. Place it in the direction you would want the ball to travel.
follow thru-Look at where you want to strike the ball and follow thru landing on ure kicking foot.

I dont know about u guys but when I play I play casually and relaxed. Getting all pumped up and visualisizing ureself scoring only adds pressure and forces u to try and do too much. If u play within ure abilities and ure naturally a good striker, it'll come.

Juggling and Controlling with Instep

When I control the ball, I use the base of my toes (flat part of my feet). I've been trying to use my instep but it keeps bouncing off. Exactly what part of the laces are u supposed to cushion the ball with?
