Thanks guys. the only problem is that the varsity team that i'm trying out for is ranked nationally. Most of the juniors left over after the seniors graduated are all defenders... there's about 5 defenders on the team already and about 3 in front of me (in my class)... I'm debating whether I should ...

eh take away that tracking back weakness...but yea i do play better at center back but i'm not very tall, standing at 5'9 1/2"...the teams we played had an average height of 6'0 or taller so im not sure if i should follow through with CB. it is true that CB is a lil easier for me to play[/quote]

Contemplating Position Switch

Hey guys, i just came back from a college showcase invitational, and we went 1-4-1. We kinda got raped after the first game, and even though we're talented enough we're never on the same page. The last 4 games of the tournament were horrendous for me, also due to fatigue but i feel im not very effec...

ehh its not about caring about football, its about funding and supporting. our academies are far and few in between and its hard for many to join them. of course there are great players everywhere, in africa, the caribbean, but there are the few lucky who join a club that funds and supports the grow...

I can relate to this in a way. my high school is ranked 7th in the nation by ESPN Rise (for high schools), and i can assure you that those schools are alll about fitness and TACTICS . i practiced with the varsity team on thursday and found out that their ball skills are weak as hell but they are som...

yea people always hate on CR7 for his "attitude" which i understand but he kinda has a reason to be arrogant... he has the ability to change games when he wants, he was named World Player of the Year and he worked his ass off getting to the top... whether we like it or not he will go down as a legen...

here's your sole vote for ronaldo lol. i think he is the greatest because he could go through 4-5 people each time, he could head, he could finish with both feet, he could take free kicks and he was pretty damn consistent. at one point he was the perfect combo of speed and power... i think he's one ...

actually collin, from more than one source Bruce Lee was known for amazing physical feats, like single bicep curls at 70 or 80 lbs, and 50 one armed chinups. he was able to lift such weight at a relatively light bodyweight. it's not really possible to do those feats without heavy weight. he used cle...

Yea what soccerjj said, high weight low reps, and do it explosively for more explosiveness and speed. The faster you do your lifts, the better you'll develop the fast twitch fibers... Personally i like 3-5 reps, because i know a lot of football players worty about being too muscular, and you'll have...

Oh man i know this situation sooo well. Just don't listen to him, and if it gets worse, go take it up with him (not sayin fight but tell him to screw himself), because even though he's yelling he's never right. Or you could talk to the coaches.... Personally i'd go up to him and tell him to shut the...
