If i don't then i will never go pro. If i do i might not play for love or fun...

what is one to do that hasn't had confidence in a long ass time...? my lack of confidence is everywhere i go (about soccer). My feet don't do what i tell them to or something. And it seems that when i learn how to do something the right way, by "reprogramming" i forget and do it all wrong again. Doe...

Anytime with the ball at my feet is fun, even if i'm not doing very well i look back and say that it was fun. I want my skills to back up my ego and imagination so i get a little pissed when i am sucking but i juet tell myself to stay positive and that even if training sucks ass today without that e...

Hey AJC, can you "get in the zone" intentionally? I understand what you are saying because i get the same thing but generally for short periods of time because i am probably in bad shape. but I cant just turn it on. My coach tells us to get in the game and focus during warm ups but my team is full o...

i'm not a doctor but i don't think that is the same thing... If it helps you breathe then that's great. I have asthma too and use it when i need to, but i don't think it triggers the flight-or-flight response. Which i think we have collectively agreed that it is better to stay calm and cool then get...

Well i don't know what your coach was thinking and i shouldn't but maybe he was testing you, maybe not. If your coach is anything like mine (lies and hard to understand) then i wouldn't worry too much about it. At practice just work harder, be louder, and the most agressive and he/she'll come around...

How far should someone go who is out of shape? And how fast? If I give it my all that's it for the day. And i might, just might, pass out. So Will i still get results giving it like 85%? I'm not that lazy, honestly i'm anemic and asthmatic, so i'm a little aprehensive about starting running again. I...

alright thanks :D I think i like you "dominant skill" idea better, just because my mind goes crazy if i just do 1 thing for a whole practice. I actually just worked on my left yesterday and figured out what i was doing wrong when i tried to pass it. I also realized that in order to 'reprogram' the w...

okay so...great post, great post. we all agree so no need to say it more, let's talk shop. I did all the self evaluation and found my strengths and weaknesses and i have come to the conclusion that I suck, first off, and secondly to get better there is no time for breaks. I mean I worked it all out ...

hmmm... you make it sound like i didn't read your guide...that's silly, of course i read it. i had those questions after reading it. I appreactiate the response though. I was hoping that you could maybe explain those areas a bit more, but it's okay now. 1. Programming -good...that's what i needed to...

Great post... this is exactly what i was looking for. my buddhism books don't focus on the utilization of the meditation, they just say to do it to find your inner person and true happiness. That is good and needed too but this is by far more helpful to my athletic motives. I have a question about d...
