Which way do you curl your toes to lock the ankle? Which one is used for knuckles, toes down or up This is only a Puma artifact, the ...

Re: Instep Shooting

I've seen some ridiculous videos, like DouDou's video where he shows the "instep" kick, but he is bending his foot like he was hitting with the inside of his foot which definetly is a wrong way of hitting this area on your foot if you want to shoot harder than 50 km/h. I am sorry mate you just have...

One thing id like to point out in your shot is that you are hoping through the ball and landing on your supporting foot. Ideally, you should be walking through the ball, so your supporting foot is pushing you forwards aswel giving you extra power and you should transfer all your mass into your kick...

Re: knuckleball

OK, so basically i've seen/ heard of two ways to knuckle. One is to use like the top left part of your foot which kinda looks like a side footed shot, such as in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHuHxW2Cr3s&feature=related The other way is the way i've been practicing which is to just stra...

I was pissed off about the game. I only saw the first 2 goals. 1st goal: Torres pulled Pepe down. 2nd goal: That was his shoulder, not his arm. Shouldn't have been a penalty. and by then the game was too far out of reach. I was bust after so I couldn't see the rest of the game. Yeah, that really pi...

Re: instep drive help

Hi Ive been trying to get down the knuckle shot technique for about six months but i cant seem to get the ball to knuckle. Ive been trying to practice the technique by setting the ball down on a cone so i can practice hitting the ball with more of my instep because when its on the ground i cant see...

You are only supposed to lock your ankle when you are just about to hit the ball , locking your ankle throughout your foot swing will put strain on the swing path resulting in a poor strike.

Ronaldo is a great freekicker but he actually does send the ball right into the wall more times than not especially if he is close. Its either great or it sucks so maybe he just kicks it naturally and his kick is so fine-tined that it naturally does it. I really dont think that he spent as much tim...
