V. Designing your routine
With a clear short-term goal and a set of appropriate drills in mind, you can now lay out your training plan on a specific timeline. Ideally, you should set the deadline for reaching your goal between 7-21 days. Typically, your training routine should gradually advance from execution-specific to application-specific drills. This means that in the early stages of your training, you should stricly work on repetition, observation, fitness and developing the physical requirements for executing the skill. After you've developed the basics, you should advance to applying the skill in real-game situations, to eventually incorporating it in competative events.

Acheieving successful results from your training is primarily determined by how strictly you follow your routine. A mediocre, but rigourously followed routine will yield better results compared to a superbly designed plan which you barely adhere to.
Individual training is in no way a replacement to playing matches at a competative level. It is a suppliment that emphasizes on improving specific areas of your performance.
