Hi. 15/f I have been playing soccer for about 11 years now, and I feel confident about my skill level to take it to the next step. I was wondering if you knew of any soccer teams that are hosting try-outs pretty much anywhere in Canada (willing to move to the area) for my age group. I have been told that I should try out somewhere else because our small Northern Ontario town doesn't have good soccer programs. I am known around the town for my soccer performance. If you could e-mail me back I would greatly appreciate it. From Lee Kaperi
Hey Lee, what you would have to do is to train as much as possible. I'm from Northern Ontario, and I know that Thunder Bay has a PDL team. So, keep training and working hard, and you will make this team in the future. Also, look towards getting a soccer scholarship. I'd say your best options closest to you are Thunder Bay, or Winnipeg, because you will play at a decent level and get exposure and experience if you decide to try out for PDL in the future. As of now, just diminish your weaknesses and keep on working hard, remember, if you are a great player, you will look even greater on teams with lesser talented players. Since your town does not have good soccer programs, play highschool, and keep on playing in your local soccer program. Eventually, if you get good enough, someone will discover you. Great soccer players come from everywhere in the world! by jdefoe 14:32:48 Saturday 26 January 2008
