players like C. ronaldo can do extroadanary stepovers, that undoubtedly takes tons of practice. I was wondering if the really nice (and short and well kept) grass was a main reason. It seems the ball keeps rolling after he pushes it once... is this a major reason or just a minor one? is it because he can move his feet extremely fast? Whenever i do something like a double or triple stepover the ball keeps going behind my legs. The ball doesn't keep up with me, if i push it too hard i cant keep up with it.... i cant seem to find a happy medium. doing it on a road is much easier. So, my grass is not too long, but is much shorter than that of proffesional turfs, can someone like C ronaldo do his stepovers on long grass such as mine? What can i do to improve my foot speed, ankle weights while jogging? different excersices? what? help me! Thanks a lot |
I would recommend you do stepovers and those kinds of fakes while the ball is still first, then once you have done it many times try rolling it and moving with it. Once you can do that try dribbling and doing sudden fakes in different directions. Use cones if necessary.
To improve your foot speed I would recommend agility drills. These will help your footwork speed as well as your ability to change direction with the ball. by Expert 20:25:37 Thursday 30 December 2004 |
