What are the most important weight training excersices for soccer. And how effective is a stationary bicycle.
A good athlete needs to develop his entire body. The best weight training exercises for the upper body are: the bench press for your chest, the pectorial deck for your pectorials, and the military press for your shoulders. This is vital for holding off players and fighting for position.

For abdominals, try doing extreme situps/crunches, and try the roman chair. These muscles are important in helping the soccer player shoot while twisting his body, as well as fending off players.

For the lower body, try leg curls (hamstrings), leg extensions, leg press, and squats which all help develop lower-body strength which is vital for shooting, and running.
