does building muscle in abs and arms affect yor pace?
Soccer is a sport which requires muscular strength, sudden change of direction and muscle endurance. That is why all modern players incorporate muscular fitness exercises in their training. The upper body (especially the stomach and back) is actively involved in the process of sprinting. It is disputable to what extent building it up may impact your pace. Soccer player develop their upper body for two main reasons: it makes it harder for an opponent to knock them off the ball and also lowers the risk of injury. Imbalance in the development of muscles in an athlete increases the likelihood of him getting injured. Basically, if you want to increase your pace, you'll have to develop your upper body in addition to building up your legs. by Expert 17:00:32 Saturday 20 August 2005
