When I play against people who like to be aggressive physicly and talk trash, what am I suppose to do, adapt to their game or play my game and keep my mouth shut, and what if someone punches you and the ref misses it? Do you punch back or what? And when a player is about to blast the ball how do you stand infront of it without fear? |
In football, you need to keep the focus on whatever your job is because at the end of the day only the result matters. Trash talking, cheap shots and intimidation are just methods that enemies can use to distract you. The best way to respond is by playing extra hard and trying to frustrate them. Talking back or fighting will only complicate your task. Keep the emphasis on things you can control (like your performance).
When your enemy is about to kick the ball it is not a good idea to stand motionless. Think about taking the ball away from him instead of just blocking it. In practice, there is little to be scared of – there are only a few dangerous places where the ball can hit you.
