i was wondering, what are some good drills to improve the double scissors that ronaldo, robihno ect. do how can you improve on doing them quicker and more of them on teh first touch
In order to be more effective, individual soccer drills need to be as realistic as possible. Realistic means incorporating elements from the real game. The primary difference between training alone and playing in a match is in the amount of pressure. Pressure is the lack of time and space.
Here are some ways of incorporating pressure into your drill:
1. Set up a predefined area in which you can execute the particular dribbling move. For example, find a narrow strip formed by two perpendicular lines. Dribble in this strip at your top pace doing tricks while maintaining the ball in control and inside the predefined area.
2. Stand in front of your friend “the wall” and kick the ball against it. Do not wait for it to come back to you. Instead, sprint in its direction and execute the dribbling move as soon as you get a hold of it. Do not simply perform the move. Learn to turn with the ball (or accelerate) immediately after you have executed the dribbling move.
