the first is "The Ultimate Weight Training for Soccer" Second Edition it goes in depth about how to create your own training plan and gives sample training plans that you can use. And its not just to bulk up it has injury prevention and programs to increase speed and agility.
The second is "Complete Conditioning for Soccer" by Sigi Schmid and Bob Alejo. Sigi Schmid is a top soccer coach in the running for the U.S. National Team. This book also goes in depth about creating a training plan and it goes into plyometrics and explains them. It goes in depth about endurance training agility training and strength training. I highly recommend getting one or both of these books, they greatly helped me and im sure they will help you. One Man's heaven is another mans hell |

thanks for posting those mate, i have another book that is great for beginning a ball skills training routine. I highly reccomend it, it is called High Performance Soccer by Paul Caliguri, a pro player that played for the U.S. national team, and was the only American to play in the FIFA ALL-STAR MATCH, which was two teams that were made of the best players in the world that were chosen by FIFA, and he set up the tie-breaker winner for Maradona. So he knows what he is talking about, and I gotta say the book really helped me with my training. Peace out
