I CAN"T BELIEVE RAYMOND DOMENECH IS STILL THE COACH OF FRANCE.................HE SUX BIG TIME.......HE USED ASTROLOMY TO PREDICT THE LINEUP OF FRANCE.............HE THINKS BARTHEZ IS BETTER THAN COUPET(the best french gk in ucl and french ligue)....barthez is a clown and coupet is the serious gk.....PERHAPS BARTHEZ'CHINESE ASTROLOGY IS A MONKEY (LOOK LIKE ONE)........where is giuly, anelka, pires, micoud ??????????? he should not choose players like DHOORASOO ??? GOVOU ??????? CISSE ????????? BOUMSONG ???????? PIRES IS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN DHOORASOOO.if he is given the chance against switzerland in the 90th min, he will score unlike dhoorasoo who scufled his shot.......... Giuly will provide more width than zidane(playing on the right mid),makelele should not return....the players should return are thuram and zidane.............they should use COUPET,ADIDAL,GALLAS,THURAM,VIEIRA,ZIDANE,PIRES,MALOUDA,HENRY,TREZEGUET.....if they use this line-up they will win (defensive)SWITZERLAND AND (lucky every world cup)SOUTH KOREA

why the hell do you have to put caps? It makes me think you are screaming everything.
Cisse broke his leg, buddy. you should watch a little more sports news...I'm sure you'd start making a little more sense in the posts you make.

pires has problems with domenech and anelka had problems with the french since before the 2002 world cup. when cisse broke his leg domenech called giuly and giuly refused to come after all.

But what is up with Ribery playing? All he does is dribble until the ball is stolen from him by 3 defenders after he's gotten himself stuck in a corner. He is just atrocious to watch. When I see him get the ball I'm hoping someone will just break his leg and they can play someone else, ANYONE ELSE! I know he had an asist versus Togo, but still, it only came after he dribbled for his usual minimum of 8 seconds.

i actually like ribery. maybe its because he plays for marseille and i support marseille in the french league. he actually helps the french team at least a little bit. he is fast and provoking and powerfull enough to upset defenders. and he passes the ball pretty well. sometimes he does try to dribble but maybe it's domenech's instructions. to break through the defence with his speed and strength.
well at least he's better than govou. govou only came because he replaced cisse after cisse's broken leg.
by the way cisse is originally from ivory coast. wouldnt it have been interesting if he had played for ivory coast instead of france? with dindane, kalou, drogba, or akale up front with him? or with drogba heading the balls in his path for him to go through the defence with his speed?

I used to think the same thing before the Togo game, but I was impressed by his provacative and fearless nature, he didn't lose too many balls against Togo, and I think he should have been man of the match, after Vieira.

The French coach is a joke. How can you choose Govou to come on rather than Saha?
I think Saha is an excellent player, with speed, strength and he is brilliant in the air. I would have chosen him ahead of Trezeguet, who had an alright game.
The problem with France is that they score then sit back, they don't apply the pressure after they score, only when they know they need to, this makes them prone to counter attacks and gives the opposition a chance to grow in confidence as they are keeping so much possession.

the thing about trezeguet is that he's a poacher. he's one of those van nistelrooy and inzaghi types. they place themselves very well to unsettle the defence and can score goals out of nothing. a real opportunist.
trezeguet just needs some more playing time and he will be back. he has an average of 1 goal every 2 games so thats pretty good. and he's the second best french scorer in activity.
i agree with you about saha. i would have given saha a chance though. ive liked him ever since he joined man utd. hes an excellent player. he just lost a couple of years from his career because of unlucky injuries.

French pride has been restored with the excellent win over Spain. Franc are starting to get back to the old excellent form, in which they scared other countries shiteless with their fluent play & the big names.
Zizou got what he deserved. Abseloutely brilliant display. Not sure about Henry. Needs to time his runs better.
French coach seems determined to play Wiltord & Govou in one way or another. (They must know something about him...)
For goodness sake play Saha you dumbass. Speed, skill, strength, aerial ability...

yes france played very well
strong in defence strong in midfield
they played very hard and deserved to win. they blocked out the spanish attackers and gave the spanish defence a hard time.
ribery proved the critics wrong and zidane got his deserved goal. viera played excellently and makelele was below par.
sagnol had an excellent game too and so did gallas
theres nothing i can say against them but i hope brazil thrashes them 3-0

Individual ability of French players are much higher than the Spanairds.
They are much stronger physically. Though many of them are black french pride?

The French team are almost dominate by African French. And Patrick Viera for example did not born in France. Many of them are minority of France, still like to see more white French playing for "French Pride".

its funny how no one mentioned how henry exagerated when he was elbowed by puyol
If it was a spanish or italian player everyone would start criticizing him but since its henry who is in the EPL no one says anything.
henry was elbowed in the chest by carlos puyol and he fell to the ground clutching his face
can anyone explain this to me? there was no contact with his face and i think he was exagerating and it was an important free kick.
u can watch the replay if you want but there was no contact whatsoever with his face. he was elbowed in the chest
even bernard lama. an ex french goalie who was in the same team as henry in 98 and is one of his close friends said that "thierry henry en rajoute empeu trop" which means that henry was exagerating too much.
can anyone explain this to me?
