UFC

UFC is nothing, if you want to see really fit athletes you have to see Thaiboxers from Thailand. They train 2 times a day for 6 days a week and start as little as the age of 6. Before each training session they run 6 to 8 miles, and at the end of training the do condition excersices which are very extreme. A lot of good fighters can do about 100 push ups, 100 pull ups and 300 sit ups. But back to the subject the only exciting weight class in the UFC for me is the 170 class. All the other classes I feel as if they gas too soon. If you guys like UFC I recommend watch Pride Fighting Championships as well.

UFC is nothing...hahaha. Do you know how insane you have to be to get the octagon.

It is THE top mixed martial arts competition in the world, hands down. Pride Fighting championships is a class below UFC, but it's still pretty entertaining.

Taiboxing is pretty good, but it lacks submissions which is a big difference. It makes it ALOT more predictable. People in UFC train just as much if not more, trust me. Most of them are unbelievably conditioned athletes.

My bad I didn't mean to say UFC is nothing. I respect UFC, but I wasn't comparing the way Thaiboxers and MMA fighters fight I was comparing the way they train. Rich Franklin only trains Muay thai once a week and BJJ two times a week so how can you say they train just as much. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't train 6 hours a day. But Rich Franklin is an outstanding fighter much respect for him. In my opinion Pride is much better than UFC. UFC's heavyweight class is a joke compared to Pride's heavyweights. I think the only weight class worth watching in the UFC is the welterweight class. Even then they keep on screwing over GSP. If you say its insane to get in the octagon, you would have to be way more insane to fight for pride. Sure the ring doesn't give Pride that "extreme" look but the rules make Pride more dangerous. Sure elbows to the head are allowed in UFC and not pride but in pride they allow kicking, kneeing, and stomping to the head of a downed opponent. You can't do that in UFC. Just the way I see it no hard feelings and I'm not trying to offend you.

It's a matter of opinion. I'm not too sure though, how you know how much UFC fighters train, but whatever. :) Tai boxers train for more techniqe and stamina. You can't really compare how they train to an MMA fighter. When you have to train for submissions AND strking, it makes it different.

Pride fights get stopped alot more than UFC fights it seems, do to no cage and that makes a big difference with stamina. I do like how they start the fighters in the same postion though in Pride. UFC seems to have much better strkers and they also wears smaller gloves which makes a big difference.

A number a fighters who could no longer compete in UFC went over and signed with Pride (Kimo, Ken Shamrock, Kevin Randleman, Tank Abbot) just to name a few. UFC fights seem to be a lot more evenly matched. Sometimes when I watch Pride, it seems one guy is much better than the person he is fighting.

I can't wait for the day when Pride and UFC go at it.

I heard the UFC fighters they lift weights for and hour without resting.
