Abortion

ok not out of personal experience, but i have a question. do you think if someone got raped and became pregnant abortion would be ok?

Well if you study the Bible and Christian faith they tell you that it is a sin to take a life that it is murder. But if you also study it you will find that they belive that if the lady was raped that it is then ok to have one . So can anyone say WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

most catholics believe it is a sin as it breaches sancitity of life and is murder, most protestants dont think it is as we must consider the greater good of the situation. or something

i personally think that even if you get raped, you should have the baby and give it up for adoption or something. if it actually endangers your health, that's another thing, but if you're just having an abortion because you don't want your baby, that's wrong.

i do agree with all of you, but I can definately understand why someone would get an abortion after being raped. First of all, the baby would probably never know the father, secondly, all of the pain of childbirth and the 9 months before, and lastly, what if it's a danger to your health to have the baby (as in you'll probably die if you do go through with having the baby)?
Some people say soccer's a matter of life or death, but it isn't. It's much more important than that. |

I've read a book called : What The Catholic Church Says About Sex
And it had a chapter all about this subject and in it they said that if the woman is raped then it is one of the only times that abortion is accepted.(The other being for health reasons) Those who race towards death Those who wait & Those who worry |

I've studied ethics a little bit and that's a very good question. Let's say you are a doctor and you have 5 accident victims under anaesthesia. One of them is in stable condition, the other 4 will die if they don't get organ transplants. Is it ok to use the organs of that one guy to save 4 other lives? |

I would ask the 1 stable guy if it was okay to save the other4, and if he said no, i'd have to find another way to save the other four guys..

Think of it this way, your not taking away the life of a man, your saving the lives of four others
