i think their is a fine line between training to much and training hard, some people think that if they just half ass it for 5 hours then they will be good, but that wont do much for you. For me i do intense 2 hours of ball work, at the end of the night i look back at my training and think about it, think about all the drills and ask yourself are you pleased with what you did? or did u just shit the bed? if so go back and do it, make every rep perfect and when you are starting to get really fatigued and are just taking shit touches then just stop lol

There isn't an answer to your question to be honest eddy, just train! Colin gave the best possible answer you could.

I think you have to find the confidence in your ability to pull off whatever you are trying to accomplish in a game situation. This confidence can come from training until "you can't get it wrong" or pulling your training focus off within the game so you'll build that confidence for the next time you need it. Don't be afraid to make a mistake during the game if it means you have a chance to build your confidence and belief in your ability. Another thing, pay close attention to your training in an "output" view. It's great to train often and "hard" but you don't want to strain yourself to the point your game output suffers. I did this for a year or so and couldn't understand why I couldn't retain the same skill level when I actually needed it. Resting your body from training is probably just as important and necessary as training itself to a successful routine. Everyone is different so try modifying your routine to find what works for you. Examples: I know people that won't touch a ball 2 days before a game(which works for them) but I feel the need to get out and get some touches the day before. I know people that stay away from playing/training all week that are amazing players just to chamber the energy to perform(I'm not one of those people either). Just find what works for your by changing your routine and giving yourself an honest assessment of the changes. Try something for 2 weeks and if it doesn't work...change things. It's the best way to mold your routine to fit your style/ability/stamina.

You get the most out of your training by giving 100% in every exercise! and then having a proper recovery...
The most important key to success is self-confidence. The most important key to self-confidence is preparation. |
