Just curious, i know it comes with practice, but how long did it take you guys? Please reply as there is nothing worse than waiting for a post and getting jack all. Cheers! Been playing seriously now for about 2 weeks and just got step overs cracked at a good pace, now going for the above two.

It is different for all of us. I dont think that the elasico & the pocus are really difficult. I actually can do them even thought I've never practiced these tricks seriously.

thing is i can do the hocus pocus but not fast paced yet, nor moving - can onlty realyl do it standing still - as for the elastico i get that perfect 1/3 attempts. Just give it time i guess?

Yep, you should work hard and with patience. I really found these two useless at this stage of my development.

Okay, so about 2 weeks on, i'm now doing 5 or 6 kick ups usually without fail, and my PB is 13. Still frustrated, although i know i'm better than when i started. Will i ever reach 20 haah? I told myself i would not start trying to do ATW's until i reached 20!

good thinking, waiting to a certain point before starting atws. just keep in mind that MickyD waited until he could juggle past 350. i dont think its a big issue, but the higher you can juggle before trying atws the easier they will be to learn
[note: i could juggle to about 20-30 before i was trying atw, and it took me a bit longer to learn than most] ![]() Freestyle Videos: http://youtube.com/fsadelaide / http://vimeo.com/mattfs |

for my stronger foot - the elastico was Easy. about 1/2 hour?
hocus pocus however, i can do it but not all the time, tht has taken me longer, id say about 1-2hours to master. for my weaker foot i found elastico easy also, however to do it quick enough, (for game situation) took me a while. id say afew hours at least! and my hocus pocus is still a little iffy |

i found that if you drop the ball and kick it back up to waist height, let it bounce and then kick back up. if you do this everyday, eventually you will be able to do more kickups. i did this to train up my left foot.. and it worked. its really worth a try. |
