Wow I'm surprised this thread hasn't exploded by now. Good job guys. Anyway, Ronaldo is on fire at the moment. Easily the best player in the world, he might even break the record of most goals in the epl in 1 season. I just wish I had put him on my fantasy team

I just saw it, once again he impresses me with his flawless freekicks...and from 30yds out...After reading the matchreport and gamecast its pretty clear that Nani and Ronaldo are the biggest long range threats on the team. ![]() sig by 2brown347 |

It was kind of funny they got a free kick from around 20 yards out and Nani took out because its not far enough away for Ronaldo to blast it. I find it kind of ironic that everyone says how his free kicks are either really good or really bad, but everytime they are really good, they go in.

Yeah i was happy when i saw that he captained the team, i think the more he starts captaining united he'll become more mature. Not gonna lie though i kind of like the cockyness and his personality right now. It's funny to watch. Anyways i was looking at the starting line up and he was the only starter on the team in the past 3-4 years playing. Hard to believe howw long ago when he was the new young lad, now he's one of the players who help guide others well hopeefully he guides them in the right directions. (Ehem nani. i dont like nani he thinks he's the shit, verry selffish and when he doesnt get the ball beecause the player makes a bad pass or chooses another route and loses it he gets angry like he would have done better. dont get me wrong though hes a good playerr, but we dont need two Cristiano Ronaldos on the field.) Plus doesnt he captain portugal too. I didnt watch the italy portugal game but in compilations i think ive seen him with an armband playing against them. I know he captained agaisnt brazil but anybody know if he captained against italy My dream is to go pro and nothing or anyone will get in the way. |

the thing in the past about c.ronaldo was that he didn't perform against the big teams. this year he's kind of changed that somewhat. i still want to see him perform in the champions league knockout stages some more but i think he's the best player right now.

Why does Ronaldo score so much? He's a winger, not a striker. If he played striker, he'd have more goals than Henry did by now.

he is the best player in the world right now thats why, but i reckon if he played up front which he occassionally does, he wouldnt be nearly as effective, as he is out wide, he works the space on the wings so well really, but saying that he often does drift into central areas anyway, to get into some great goalscoring positions. ![]() CRYSTAL PALACE FC keller8 "If you don't believe in yourself why should anyone else?" It wud be pretty interesting to see how him and Torres match up next season when Torres has settled. If Messi works on his muscle endurance more he wud prob b less injury prone.

i don't think he'd score as many goals if he always played up front. he'd always have a big center back right there when he gets the ball. whats so good about c.ronaldo is when he brings the ball up from his own defensive end and creates a fast break. being up top he wouldn't be able to do that as often

I'll give props to the man for cutting back on the diving this season, respect for that, he's definitely maturing. As long as this thread doesn't turn into a flame-fest it should be fine...

Another great post from Rzadzinski.
Its probly better for him out wide. Cut in on the wide defenders and have a shot. Ronaldo at his best. Mattsta-"There would be no point in freestyle if we knew all the tricks from the start. The fact that we had to practise to get them pays off because in the end we have earnt it." |

I couldn't find a good place to put this, and it's not new topic worthy so this should work.
Rafa has basically called up sir alex for playing mind games with refs about cr7 http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=518453&cc=5901 he has earned my respect. |
