Will Chelski wrap up the title by Christmas?

Jose Mourinho earlier has made a bold statement, that Chelski will win the league by CHRISTMAS!

See: http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid ... +Christmas

Does anybody at all agree with his craaaazyyyyyyyyyyyy statement?

I think they will wrap it up early but definatly not by christmas if they did then bad things are happening in English football.

there winning the league there a awesome team but maybe not that soon

sigh they make the EPl too predictable..

But if they lose ONE game I think their season would fall apart!

I completely disagree. Mourinho knows what to do if they lose, and is expecting to lose unlike Wenger before.
He who thinks too much about every step he takes will stay on one leg all his life.

they just played one were when i left they had 5minuts left and they were tied with everston 1-1

Mourinho is going too lucky it seems like everything is too rosy.

Football is based on sweat, downfalls and hardwork.

I agree with Johan Cruyff..good teams are wins that know how to win

great teams are ones that know how to bounce back and gain the respect.

At the moment, Chelski aren't there yet. When they hit a bad patch(which will be inevitable), their bouncebackability is not proven, well maybe caused they've never really had to use it, but I doubt they've got experience to make up for it. Sure individually, they've got bags of experience, but as a team, we don't know.

At the same time, i think it's too early to say that Chelski will even win the EPL for sure. I just hope Paddy Power(irish betting company) is making a huge mistake like they did in 2003 with ARSEnal.

chelsea will win the title on february 4
who wants to bet with me????
'Alex Ferguson is the best manager I've ever had at this level. Well, he's the only manager I've actually had at this level. But he's the best manager I've ever had.' David Beckham

me! i think its in january

There is absolutely no question Chelsea will win the league, it's just a matter of when the maths confirm it.

Mourinho is almost certainly the best manager in the world. Of course, he has had money to spend but so did Ranieri before him. Mourinho got rid of the players who could disrute his squad. That is the skill of the manager and now he has a squad who all play for the club, not themselves.

Of course they could get crippling injuries to their squad...but then they will just go and buy more players in January. If an injury crisis came after the transfer window closes, they will probably be too far ahead.

They may lose out in a knockout competition but over 38 games, they will be the top team by a long way.

They are currently 10 wins and 1 tie (31 points). Im surprised Wigan is in second (22 points) but Chelsea have distanced themselves from the pack. I think Chelsea will have the title sealed in 33 games because both manchester and tottenham will make late season runs to try to win second. I think Chelsea will fall into a 5 week slump but they still will bounce back to a easy first place. They are basically unopposed by Arsenal for another good couple weeks atleast because of Arsenals injuries and how far down the table they are. But I will never doubt a team in the Premier league because I know Manchester, Liverpool, Arsenal, and tottenham all have a good chance at making impressive winning streaks to regain ground. And most importantly anything can happen in soccer.

Well we will have to see about that since they just lost their first game of the season to Manchester Utd, which broke their 40 game unbeaten streak run. The test begins for Mourinho, but I agree with Wiseman, Jose knows how to bounce back. We will just have to let the league continue to unfold.

i can tell you 2 things, they wont win it by christmas, and that when that happens it is a sad (and boring) day in EPL.
12-2-1 with 4goals and ten assists

by 'win by xmas', im guessing you all obviously dnt mean on points :P but that no1 will catch them because perhaps a huge point gap and/or a formidible playing style, not looking like losing. If you go by that i think chelsea had it won about a month ago. i hope im not being premature, but i dont see a team in the EPL capable of closing the current gap of 9 points to second. the only team consistent enough are, not arsenal, but man u, however with a mediocre start to the season second is all i think they can hope for. chelsea have it won already, i dont see any way they can break down enough to lose their lead.
