Alright guys, so here is a workout I just created, My aims are to gain endurance, explosiveness, and strength.
I want to become as fast as possible and want any advice on the routine. I heard bicep training isnt neccasery for sprinters? I play on the wing/upfront and I'm all about speed and skill. Should I be doing forearm training too? I havent created my leg workout yet..But this is just for upper body ANY FEEDBACK WELCOME. Biceps are under-rated when it comes to sprinting mechanics. Really, all/most muscles in your body will contribute to your overall speed, this is why Usain Bolt isn't built just in his lower body, he has an incredibly strong physique from head to toe.

1. You want to become fast but I see a max of 2 exercises that on your legs?
2. This is a two day program? Explain how you are doing this, are you doing day one, then two, then back to one? If so that is foolish, the most I ever do is two days in a row and then a rest day. And I don't do upper body two days in a row either. 3. Regardless of whether you want speed or not, bicep training is essential, you need to be an overall athlete, not a weed on legs. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. |

Sup dude. I appredciate your help/
1. I'm already naturually really fast, I just want to get even faster with weights, and I havent yet created my leg workout, the days i posted are just upper body. 2. I will be doing this program like Monday-Chest Shoulder Tris Wednesday-Back Biceps Sat/Sunday (now season is over)- Leg Workout 3. I don't really understand this one. If Biceps arent really required for speed, then why should i work em out to be an "overall athlete" Is forearm training reccomended too? Because ill add that in too to one of the days if so.. Apart from that...do you think this routine is weak, moderate, or strong for my aims...and if not strong what should i do to improve it? I'm still in the process of creating a day 3 for legs remember...thanks I aldo do abs after every workouit but my abs routine im confient with |

What I'm trying to say is you need upper body strength to shield and hold up the ball, enough said. Quote: Is forearm training reccomended too?
I know some really good exercises for your forearms! ![]() Everything you need, is already inside. |

You need strong upper body overall to hold players off effectively, especially if they are bigger than you. That includes Biceps and Triceps.
