Well, today I played a recreational tourney with a group of friends.
Those of you that explore this site would of notice I posted a forum about me not improving. First I would like to shout of thanks on the replys i feel like i am improving in my skills and tricks. But anyway here goes, Three teams of 6,two on one off - and as you know with a group of friends theres always one or two who stands out when playing a sport/game in this case football. I have 1 friend who is so quick and skillfull on the ball. He can rip and burn players like its nothing. his got very quick feet good change of pace and is very good with tricks. and knows how to use them what i have noticed is even if you have a good change of pace, good at tricks, and quick feet. using them in even a recreational game is very hard. My firend makes it look simple and he looks so casual on the ball, and he nutmeg'd me and was laughing I just dont know how he does it? How long does it really take to get like that?

^these answers are always so boringly amusing.
Time is going to be relative to how much you put in and how hard you work at that time. I found great improvements playing 3x a week for 2 hours if i worked really hard. I would also like to stress that theres no substitution for playing with others which may include your friend if he's that good. I've played against some excellent p1 players and they often tell me that they would go out for an early morning jog. start practicing around 10am go for lunch a few hours later come back around 4 practice eat dinner and then maybe come back out again. 2-3x a day for months will bring you technical ability. Lots of mini games will teach you how to apply it. Without seeing you or your friend it's hard for me to give you any real scale. |
