Totally agreed man but the moneys gone. We dont have money. Gerrard is so useful in the mids aswell. I also struggle to find another possible player with Torres. For now Benayoun looks ace |
Beniztez has blown all the cash. They were talking about this on the radio the other day. He has spent £250m since he took over at Liverpool.

agreed, the only real players he spent big money on that has actually done something is torres and johnson but its only early days for johnson

Johnson is decent going forward but as a defender, he is at best, average. Certainly not international quality. Even the Slovenian's caused him problems.

Croatia's lone goal came cuz Johnson got beat out by Rakitic. The reds are screwed without Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa, let's just go with that.

He has the tendencies to be shaky, but from wht i have seen he is a good defender, just caught out of position. You watch this wont last for long. I think he is both a good attacker and defender

He wasn't caught out of position last night. He was back but didn't do enough to stop the cross coming in. Exactly the same as the Slovenia goal on Saturday.
Mind you, Upson didn't help with a crap pass out in the first place to give away the ball and then letting Eduardo (I think) have a free header (they scored from the rebound).

Babel's goal was amazing. I hope Lyon get ass raped in the group stages, just shows that without a fully operational Torres and Gerrard, Liverpool become mediocre and can be beaten by teams like Lyon, not taking anything away from them, but I never really thought Lyon was a really quality team. Liverpool shoulda tried to pick up van der vaart during the transfer window, he was going for like 8m which is a steal considering he is pure class and is rotting at that whore house Madrid.
