need help???

ok, so i need to get better at soccer, and im a descent player who has been playing for 5 years now, but i dont like being just descent and want to be a standout, so i thought maybe if i get good at freestyling then it will help me be a really good player since im not that good at doing moves in freestlye or a real soccer match..
the question though is though is that ive been practicing juggling on and off for the last 2 years or so and i can get 100 easily and up to 200 sometimes and my record is like 500 something, but i dont feel like im juggling right, i feel like im not balnced enough and i put way to much spin on the ball to do any tricks and when i watch videos of other freestylers the ball doesn't spin barely at all(unless they are doing a trick) and they can juggle forver and thier legs dont tire out and lose balance and they can juggle with the same foot without it touching the ground, so can anyone tell me how i can improve and fix this, and if so about how long it will take (since i want to be good by august) thank-you for all the help and for rading this |

hey dude you should check the forums before posting this but since your new I'll cut you slack You should use instep juggling. Instead of juggling nearer to your toes use your instep and it takes a while to get down but youll get it eventually. Also when your juggling get a good rhythm it shouldnt feel awkward just feel the rhythm when you juggle.

I'm not a freestyler but the few moves I do know I got from watching these vids.http://www.expertfootball.com/training/best_freestyle.php
and using these tutorials.http://expertfootball.com/gossip/answer.php?qid=370 http://expertfootball.com/gossip/answer.php?qid=856 These won't help much with getting more juggles, but will when you're trying to learn new moves. |

sorry if there is already alot of posts on the website about this i just havent found any on my particular question, and thanks for the advice on hitting with my instep, im just now getting used to it and when i juggle ill get about a little over half of them with the instep and the rest with it spinning like carzy and i still hit the ball up a little higher than the people in the videos, just wondering though, how long do u think it will take me to master this so i can get low, non-spinning juggles, so i can start working on tricks, as of now i can just stall on my neck and can stall the ball on my foot and do an outside atw, but not while juggling.... just looking for an estimate of time???

I rarely try to do tricks, but I was where you were about a month ago and in that time I've learned to to ATW's both ways from stalls, and outside ATW while juggling. Plus a like 10 more tricks that I don't what to list, so I'd say if you are taking freestyle seriously and do it a lot then 2-3 weeks. but everyone is different.
